No time like the present

The general consensus right now is that there is no better time in history to build a company of one. And based on what we're hearing from the alumni of Manual Override, I'd have to agree.

So much of that feeling comes from the potential AI offers.

And what it can offer will only go farther and deeper.

That's great for those who want their business to run 100% without them having to get involved.

But it's a real struggle for those who have built a craft over years and want to keep their business, to its core, theirs.

They're asking:

What can I delegate?
What should I delegate?
What is AI good at that I'm not?
What can AI never take from me?
How do I use agents effectively and efficiently?
And what's the just-technical-enough explanation behind the answers to these questions?

With alllll that potential comes a lot of paths, decisions, opportunities, and risks that are tough to figure out while building on your own.

So how do you navigate this on your own?

1. Create a learning path that takes you from going (just enough) under the hood to understand what's changed in the last year, all the way to knowing how to get the most out of any model, agent, or harness (and knowing what those are)

2. Have a dedicated space on a consistent basis for you to solve a real business problem of your own with the help of AI. Do this week over week to see how far you can go.

3. Know how to set your boundaries on where AI sits and where it doesn't. Just because a model can generate something for you doesn't mean it has to. Define your worth in the inputs and outputs.

4. Work live alongside others solving similar problems so you can see what works and what doesn't. Bonus if you can have someone on your side who is a few steps ahead in their journey to help you accelerate over the tough parts.

You can absolutely piece all of this together on your own. That's how Shaina and I got to where we are. But it isn't for everyone, and looking back, I wish the path had been a little smoother.

So if you'd rather do it with a crew, that's what we've built at Manual Override. Our Wednesday Build Lab gives you 2 hours each week over the 6-week program of hands-on support from us, working through the whats, hows, and whys of AI and making sure you have a curated, balanced AI operating system humming just the way you want it to.
